Observation Point

Myopia, it is understood, is the disability of nearsightedness; obtuseness – I do not write this metaphorically – which can be treated by the use of corrective lenses: eye glasses, contact lenses or laser surgery. However, these treatments do not actually cure the nearsightedness – the tensed or strained muscles behind the eye – they symptomatically correct the problem but, in fact, make the condition worse and, overtime, the prescription of lenses almost always needs to be increased.
